Join us for the 2nd annual annual g4g Day @BSU event! We can't wait to welcome 150 girls aged 11-15 from local communities for what will be yet another exciting day filled with hands-on workshops and role models in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics! 

Girls will have the chance to experience creative and fun workshops from faculty and staff at Bridgewater State University, the The Center for Advancement of STEM Education (CASE)Ciscoand Waters!

When? Saturday, 22nd of April, 2017

What? Welcoming 150 girls aged 11-15 from local communities to come and join us for a g4g Day event filled with interactive and hands-on fun in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

How? We invite role model professionals to lead 45 minute workshops that show the link to STEM; 10 - 12 girls in one workshop; a chance to experience 4 workshops throughout the day.

Meet the g4g BSU Team

Sarah Thomas is part of the Board of Directors and the Americas & Education Chair. She is the ultimate teacher.  She works in International Education and looks forward to our future work with teachers to bring fun new ideas into the classroom.  It isn't the surprising to know that Sarah loves to learn -- and she loves to dive into the fun detail of the science experiments. Her work with g4g in the US here!

Board of Directors, greenlight for girls

Allison is a senior mathematics major with a minor in secondary education at Bridgewater State University.  Upon graduation she is committed to pursuing a career in the education field as a middle school math teacher with intentions of working in school administration down the road.  This is her first year as an ambassador for g4g and from the first mention of the organization Allison knew she had to assist in encouraging young ladies to pursue STEM programs.  At BSU Allison helps teach Calculus I students as a Peer Assisted Leader (similar to a Teaching Assistant) and participates in campus organizations.  As Vice President of the Math Club she is able to surround herself with like-minded individuals with a passion for math.  Similarly, as Treasurer of the Student Education Association of Massachusetts she is able to support student educators at BSU.
