Our g4g Makerspace events are all about creativity, engineering, and design... while simply having fun! Inviting 20 girls and boys aged 9-14 (and parents welcome too!), this is opportunity to come together on a Saturday morning and make all the sciences come to life!
Next g4g Makerspaces
Mark your calendars! Our next makerspace is scheduled for February 24th! The theme is Racing Robots. In this 3rd edition of the g4g Makerspace, we’ll explore the world of electrical engineering and design through robotics. Boys and girls will have the chance to create their own take home robotics like bristlebots & scribble bots, and demonstrate & test their prototype in robot races – all while discussing the latest innovation and future of robotics and artificial intelligence.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer a g4g Makerspace in March, but no need to worry: we'll be back in April! Once a month, we will present you the opportunity of exploring a new theme combining science, design and, most importantly, fun.
If you'd like to register for our next makerspace, please click the button below.
Pricing: Each individual session will be a cost of 40 euro per child; if you decide to join us for the two next sessions as well, we will provide you with a discount for a 3 in 1 package deal!
1 session = 40 euro 2 sessions = 80 euro 3 sessions = 90 euro
The theme of our second edition of #g4gmakerspace was Slime meets Design. Design thinking and engineering is at the forefront of innovation, so we tried to figure out how we could foster young innovative minds creatively, AND make it fun in the process? Well, we decided to get slime involved! In this 3 hour workshop, we experimented by making slime, "Non-Newtonian" fluid, and putty; group ideating as we figured out how to apply these fun & funky materials into everyday needs, and finally prototyping our idea into life! In our very first #g4gmakerspace , we showed the link between science, technology and engineering by exploring circuitry. The kids had a chance to tinker their very own LED creation using batteries, conductive thread, and colourful fun felt - all the while learning to perfect sewing techniques & electrical circuits!
