¡Estamos encantados de anunciar nuestro nuevo evento con Nokia para lanzar el g4g @work en Madrid, España!
Invitamos a 100 niñas entre 11 y 15 años a que visiten las instalaciones de Nokia en Madrid y participen en talleres interactivos para descubrir STEM (Ciencia, Tecnología, Ingeniería, Matemáticas según sus siglas en inglés). Este evento tan emocionante y gratuito también les dará a las niñas la oportunidad de interactuar con profesionales de Nokia que son un modelo que seguir.

¿Dónde, cuándo, qué?!
¿Dónde? Nokia Spain, Maria Tubau 9, Madrid 28050, Spain
¿Cuándo? Martes, 11 de diciembre, 2018 entre 10 a.m. - 15:30 p.m.
¿Qué? ? Recibimos a 100 niñas de entre 10 y 16 años de las escuelas locales para que se unan a nosotros para un día de evento de g4g lleno de diversión interactiva y práctica en Ciencia, Tecnología, Ingeniería y Matemáticas (STEM)
¿Como? Invitamos a profesionales del modelo a seguir para que dirijan talleres que demuestren el vínculo con STEM; 10 - 12 niñas en un taller; y la oportunidad para cada niña de experimentar varios talleres durante todo el día, así como visitar las instalaciones de Nokia en Madrid!

I am a Telecommunications Engineer, married and mother of 3 kids, and have been working in telecommunications multinational companies for more than 20 years.
Besides my current work as Lead Program Manager in Nokia, I also lead the StrongHer team in Spain.
StrongHer is a network of employees that volunteers to work towards gender diversity and equality. One of the areas we are very active in is encouraging girls to get interested in STEM. We believe that this will have positive impact on the diversity of our future!
I am very excited to collaborate with Greenlight for Girls in the next g4g@Work event in Madrid.

Nokia Lead program manager
Hi everyone, I am Pilar, a Telecommunication engineer. I work in Nokia as Strategic Pricing and, as volunteer activity, I participate in Strongher, a Nokia group created by employees to promote equality and diversity. One of the initiatives we lead is to promote technical careers in girls, so I am glad to participate with Nokia and g4g to create female role models inside technical careers to help girls to broke stereotypes about woman and science.
As mother of two girls, my dream would be that within a few years, these types of initiatives would not be necessary anymore because equality has become a normal thing in our sector

Loredana is our Venezuelan numbers geek who is able to learn first someone’s phone number or date of birth than the actual name. She is also an avid traveller who loves to meet people from all around the globe because of her interest on how people could do simple daily life so different from one place to another…specially eating given her Italian family background! She was living in Brussels when g4g was getting started and always stayed around the organization to help in any possible way ( even just to cheer-up for the great success stories it has had). Even though her personal /career path did not guided her straight into Engineering or science studies as she would loved to, she has followed numbers and STEM path through Finance and Project Management within several multinationals in the Technology, Telecom and Engineering industries. Being a witness during her work life of the need for diversity initiatives including more girls into STEM subjects, and now mother of a little girl, she is currently supporting g4g her knowledge and passion for global projects and exposure to amazing people/girls from around the world.

When she is not posting/youtubing/instagraming or hashtaging, Marie is usually in front of her sewing machine. Or learning how to do aerial hoop. Or taking a webinar on cyber security! She visited 20 countries in the world so far and doesn't plan to stop before she saw them all. An ecofriendly advocate she firmly believes that the children will be the ones to save our planet and she can't wait to see them succeed.
