Leslie and Antoine have just crossed the finish line!
Meet Team L&A!
Leslie Eberdt and Antoine Mosneron Dupin are both 26 years old and university graduates. Leslie decided that upon completing her master’s she wanted to do something extraordinary to give back to women who might not have had the same chance at education as she had. Antoine hopes to contribute to an education for young women in India focusing within the STEM spectrum, to share and exchange about the field which he enjoys working in.
The Rickshaw Race
Imagine the fastest, safest, earth-munching all-terrain vehicle in the world. Then imagine the opposite. Three wheels, half a horse power and more fun than any other vehicle on planet earth, the humble Rickshaw is undoubtedly the ultimate long distance, off road machine, despite being designed for short distances on road. Imagine trying to get this beast over the Himalayas or the Rajasthani desert. The Rickshaw Run is pretty simple. With no preparation and even less luggage, we fly to the Indian Subcontinent and do our darnedest to force 150cc of glorified lawnmower over thousands of miles of questionable terrain. All this in around two weeks with no support at all.
Race for g4g global scholarship
Eight exceptionally bright girls, all first-generation school goers are ready to go to college to compete equally and globally. The money raised by Leslie and Antoine will go towards funding their scholarship.
