On September 26th 2015, greenlight for girls launched in London with the help of an amazing team from the Imperial College Physics department! Celebrating the year of light, the team brought in illuminating workshops on light-based technologies, hands on coding challenges, a Physics FunLab and so much more. 200 girls aged 12-16 from the greater London area participated in this once in a lifetime day of experiments, exploration and excitement!!
Role-model professionals joined in from Cisco, the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), Intel/McAfee, Oxford Women in Physics, Bletchley Park, Royal Astronomical Society (RAS), Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), and much more!
